For those of us who live at the shoreline
standing upon the constant edges of decision
crucial and alone

Note: The cure for asthma is not, “Just breathe!”, and the cure for cancer is not, “Stop growing those cells!” Similarly, the cure for depression is not, “Just be happier!”, and the cure for anxiety is not, “Stop worrying so much!” These are not phases of life for teenagers and the weak-minded - they are serious and chronic medical illnesses.
Queer Housing is a tumblr dedicated to helping queer folk find harmonious housing arrangements. Post or search here if you’re looking to fill a space in your apartment/house or if you’re looking for a room yourself/roommates to search with.
There are too many of us that settle for less-than-comfortable living arrangements, when there are tons of other queer folk we could be living around instead.
FYI: This is a very PoC/trans* positive blog.
How it works:
Use our submission form to get your word out and we’ll signal boost it as soon as possible. Subsequently, if you want to make a post through your own blog and would like us to just reblog it here, tag it with “queer housing.” We’ll be checking that tag regularly and signal boosting our asses off.
heads up RVA

I am the welder.
I understand the capacity of heat
to change the shape of things.
I am suited to work
within the realm of sparks
out of control. I am the welder.
I am taking the power
into my own hands.
